The first thing comes in mind when there is an on site assignment, what all need to be carried. People make a list, do shopping for a week, still there are few important and general things got forgotten. Rest all you know.
This again differs from a family person to a bachelor.
The list here helps in general:
Universal Adapter: This really helps to use your electronic equipments you usually carry (like: Cameras, Laptops etc).
Pressure Cooker: Important item to cook your food early and save electricity/gas. You have to search a lot in on site and if you get one its costly.
Washer for Cooker: Don't forget to carry spare washers for the pressure cooker.
Mobile Phone: People think the mobile phones doesn't work from one country to another, some of the phones work with a new SIM card. Otherwise you can use it as an alarm clock to wake you up in the morning.
Alarm Clock: Important for people do not get up early.
Driving Licence of your country: some countries allow driving with the state driving licences for certain period of time.
Small Statues or Photos of The Gods You Follow: This is if you are religious. Don't forget to take one for your car.
Have a Hair Cut: Usually its difficult to find saloons as well as transportation etc, when you arrive recently.
Formal Shirts and Pants: Usually the formals are bit more priced compared to the home place.
New Formal Shoes : The sports shoes are good at buying on site.
Baby Foods: Its really difficult for the baby's to adjust to the food, better keep some ready made which all ready the baby is acquainted with.
Screwdriver Kit Set: Really help full, even to change the batteries, small fixes.
Pickles You Like: Not necessary you will get the pickles you like every where.
Bindis,Kunkum and Kajal for Ladies: Its hard to find at on site.
Saree's For Ladies: There will be for sure Indian community functions you will be willing to participate.
Cigarettes For Smokers : No Comments. Cigarette smoking is injurious to health.
